Growth

The Journey

February 5, 2014
I grow in a generation where most people desire instant gratification…some are waiting on their next BIG opportunity; others are looking to develop their next BIG move; and others quite frankly believe that God is going to hand everything to them. Over the past few days I’ve began to really search for the position of my heart regarding “The Journey” of life. I began to recognize that while days, weeks, and months have come and went…many times I’ve overlooked my progress.
Have you ever prayed to God for a new job? Peace of mind? New relationships? In my recent observation of my life I realized that I’m guilty of praying for things and just sitting and waiting for God to “make it happen” instead of embracing the manifestation process. Additionally, I began to recognize that there have been times where I’ve simply checked out spiritually, physically, and emotionally while waiting on the manifestation of my prayer(s).
During my time of reflection I identified a few benefits of embracing “The Journey”.
(1)Chains are broken
(2) Habits (good and bad) are removed
(3) Peace is restoredI am not sure if many of us recognize or even appreciate the benefits of “The Journey”; but it is during this time that God is making ALL things new regarding the position of your heart (another day…another blog). Looking back I realize it has never been my intent to overlook the faithfulness of God; however that’s exactly what I had grown accustomed to doing. Today I encourage you all to take time to embrace “The Journey”. I promise you won’t regret it and most of all you will thank God for the peace, perseverance, and wisdom HE provides during “Your Journey”.
Signed,

God’s daughter. His wife. Their mother. Your friend

Wow. This speaks right to me. I’ve been praying to meet my husband and I’ve reached the revelation that God is not holding that up, but I need to become what I am praying for. That is the process I’m going through. Thanks for this. I’m loving the blog.
